Granite Industries, operating as DSS Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of scaffolding, staging, and seating products. Our Fabrication Department plays a vital role in producing high-quality components that support our production process. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fabrication Team Member to join our Archbold, Ohio facility.

Position Summary:
The Fabrication Team Member is responsible for working with raw steel, cutting, bending, and shaping them to meet production specifications. This position requires the safe and efficient use of fabrication equipment, attention to detail, and a strong focus on quality.

4 day work week, M-Th, 6am-4pm Health & retirement benefits after 60 days

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle, measure, and prepare large steel components for fabrication.
• Operate fabrication machinery such as saws, press brakes, shears, and other cutting/bending equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Ensure parts are cut and bent to precise specifications.
• Maintain safe handling practices when working with heavy materials.
• Inspect fabricated parts for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with the production and welding departments to ensure workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous fabrication or metalworking experience preferred (will train the right candidate).
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tools accurately.
• Experience operating fabrication machinery (press brakes, saws, shears) a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. and work with large steel pieces.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
